The Blog is based on tales from a fictitious country village called Sleepy Hamlet--- the village is populated by all manner of countryside eccentrics and the stories catalogue their insular world and the issues they get so wrapped up in. It sometimes picks on how they react to the outside world and its rules and conventions but mainly it’s about the personalities of this far from quiet rural idyll.
The villagers live within their own world and everyone outside of it is considered a foreigner. It's nothing personal but so far as they're concerned, anyone who can't trace their family tree back to the black death is considered to be an outsider.
This village lives on gossip. It is the life blood of most small rural communities and the effects of it can rule their day to day existences. They know how dangerous it can be but they just can't help themselves.
So to recap: Sleepy Hamlet is populated by the oddest, weirdest and most gloriously eccentric collection of misfits and crackpots you could ever wish to meet and I hope you enjoy reading about their world.
